Businesses in the Algarve can benefit from grants covering 60% of eligible costs for energy efficiency investments of up to €200,000. The SITCE – Simplified Scheme supports energy assessments and solutions to reduce energy consumption and improve the performance of business premises.
Call for applications ALGARVE-2026-15, under the Climate and Energy Transition Incentive System (SITCE), was published on 30 September to support projects under the simplified scheme.
This opportunity allows micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with an establishment in the Algarve to fund projects involving investments of up to €200,000, with grants covering 60% of eligible costs.
The support covers:
- Specialist assessment services, studies and technical evaluations, as well as investments aimed at improving businesses’ energy performance.
- Replacing inefficient equipment, upgrading premises, recovering heat and implementing monitoring, smart management, automation and control systems.
- Installing solar photovoltaic systems for self-consumption, where these complement the project’s energy efficiency measures.

Applications are accepted in two phases, with deadlines of 15 January and 31 May 2027 at 6:00 p.m. However, the total funding available is limited to €1 million, and funding is allocated in order of submission.
